I have lost the keys to my 1991 Lotus Elan SE and have two HELP questions
1. I may have locked them in the boot - I've seen somewhere threads that talk about ways of unlocking
2. The local Lotus dealer has obtained the key codes for both ignition and door/boot locks from Lotus but say the Lotus key supplier (Bolton Keys?) does not have blanks and also doesn't recognise the key codes.
Any help in either direction would be gratefully received

Hmmmmm.... this is your 1st post on here and you "may" have locked your keys in the boot ?
Whilst you may be genuine you can obviously also understand my scepticism

I'm sure if you could scan in proof of ownership ie V5 and DVLA licence via a PM to a moderator or administrator they would only be too happy to help you out. Hopefully you can do this and then be on the move again
Alternatively if you post details of where you are (Gower peninsular ???) there may be someone near you to help out
Good luck

Panic over! I mentioned it to my secretary who said she thought there was an old box of keys in the bottom of my desk - there was and in it the spare set of keys! The other keys were not in the boot though - now I need to find blanks and get a spare set cut so still looking for some help of where to source.
By the way I'm in the Gower Peninsula (no 'r' as there is only one!) and run

Well done. I am pleased you found the spares. And well done to Muley for providing the blanks
Your set up looks fantastic. I used to spend my early family holidays on the Gower peninsula (only 1 r) Time for a return visit I think

We are planning to go down the Gower in the next few weeks, now the summer traffic has mainly gone..... not in the Elan saddly, as the campervan is so much easier to sleep in!!!
