Jacking point pad dimensions

Does anyone here happen to have the original dimensions of the jacking point bearing plate (A100A0180F)? By this I mean the ~2.5" wide steel plate that the jack bears on at the jacking point, and which is held onto the car by the conical-headed socket screw (B100A0295F).

I have measured one of mine, but it's so corroded that it may now be quite a long way off the correct dimensions.

Also interested if anyone knows a source for these parts, since they seem to be out of production.

Interestingly, I was looking into this very thing only a month or so ago, in preparation for doing Nick Walkers car in April....

I looked to see what I used on my own car a long time ago (well, more than a few years, and I'm getting older!) and it was a simple stainless steel disc with 60mm diameter, and I drilled a 10mm hole in the centre. It is 1.5mm thick.

It was impossible for me to ascertain what the originals were (dimension-wise) as mine had corroded away.

I even looked at simply using a couple of M10 'penny' washers with a diameter of 50mm.

The exact dimension isn't that worrying, as the load from the jack should go into the bolt head, NOT onto the plate anyway.

I built my own jacking points in situ, then fitted a spacer tube through the sill, then added the plate and screwed it all together with an M10 socket-head bolt before closing the inner sill plate with sheet steel. It was done by trial and error (or "bespoke fabrication" if it sounds better) and none of it gets seen anyway.

I measured mine, it seemed to be a ~63mm disc (I presume originally 2.5") about 4mm thick, with a small lip around the edge and a 25mm (1") diameter by 6.5mm (1/4"?) cylindrical section on the rear that acts as a spacer through the hole in the fibreglass sill and bears against the bottom of the jacking point pillar behind the outrigger.

I'm having replacements made up in 304 stainless, but I'm leaving out the lip to beef up the plate slightly and reducing it to 60mm dia as that's the max diagonal width of the top of the jack anyway.

When I remade the jacking point pillars I threaded them M12 since the head of an M12 socket head screw is about the same as the original tapered screw, so the bore on mine is 12mm. I'll attach an image here in case it's of use to anyone.

Whilst I'm at it I'm also making up an insert block for my trolley jack to mate with the jacking point, so hopefully these won't get as beaten up as the old ones.

I think Nick started out as a 'head in the sand' owner, and when he actually looked, it wasn't great.... then life got in the way.

Anyway, they are coming down for a long weekend in April (coinciding with the LDC Pembrokeshire Driving Adventure). So the plan is to sort out the sills and have a couple of drives out in convoy with the rest of the guys (and girls!).

I can see some long evenings on the horizon! (fortunately, the job itself isn't too bad - and most of the time is waiting for stuff to set/stick or whatever).

Well, I have all the kit, and many years of trying......

..... generally, I'd say it falls into the 'structurally sound, but not always pretty' bracket.

Not enough practice, and with all these skills, you need to keep on top of them to do a great job every time. (but mine won't fall apart!)

I have just stumbled upon this.
I am dreading and looking forward to visiting and finally getting the out riggers done.
I fear the worst as the jacking points were crumbling when I bought the car 13 years ago.
Various things have taken priority over the last 13 years which have prevented me from any major works…
Mark, the respray is getting re done in June as the entire care has suffered from micro blisters…

Just a thought...these square washers from Screwfix (cost £5.69) are an absolute godsend for jacking up the m100.
Pk of 10, 5mm thick, use in groups of 3 or with a socket and they just fit the square indent for load spreading

Does anyone have an exploded diagram of the parts that make up the jacking points and plates? Or links to a YouTube video of someone taking them apart.
