Hood Adjustment

Refitting the hood.

Im sure that I have seen somewhere a detailed explanation of how to make adjustments to cams cables etc. But i can't find it.

I've looked in the manual but can only find BK15 which says how to position the hood on the car.

I know its here somewhere - can someone point me in the right direction please?

Saska's post from 2009 has a good description of adjusting the hood fit by fitting adjusting bolts. The photos have disappeared but I managed to copy them a few years ago - reproduced below.

In my Manual BK15 is Windscreen & Mirror Plinth, BK13 (page 27) is Soft Top Roof and Page 29 has adjustment of roof mechanism bolts .... but more key information about adjustment is in BK Addenda on Pages 59 & 60 ..

My uncle is looking to get this Elan project soon after we finished installing the suspension and parts from 4Wheelonline onto the Wrangler. We'll invest in good manuals.

They can be viewed and/or downloaded for personal use (or passing on to a garage who are working on your car), and you can print them all out if you have plenty of paper and ink!

Bumping this thread....my hood fits decently well all around the car, but when folding it back, the arms are tearing my patches off (the ones that would prevent tearing behind your head). It appears the bars of the hood must push the hood material at least a half inch or so, to the point that any patch is temporary and I have to keep reapplying. I have leather pieces affixed with contact adhesive. Do I just keep patching, or is there any adjustment in this part of the mechanism? I'm guessing not.
