Saggy hood!

Postby taffy » Fri 31.03.2006, 15:53

Hi
The hood on my elan is generally in very good condition (apart from the normal hole caused by the frame!). However it looks as though it need re tensioning since it is sagging between the supports. Would I be right in thinking that all I need to do is remove the underside of the hood (the part you pull to put up the roof) and pull the material forwar. Then fix all parts back.
Was the material originally glued to the front. Mine is no longer glued so it will part easily.
Thanks
Lots of pain and little gain
