Hood Stowage Lid Paint Protection

Hi all,

I know this was covered in some past posts, but I can''t quite frind the conclusive answers.

As I've just had my Elan repainted and a new Soft Top fitted, I would like to protect the Hood Stowage Lid to prevent the paint getting scuffed up and worn.

Was there ever a protective film (sticky back plastic style) sourced that would do the job? If so, where should I start looking?
