Chipsaway are here today - I cant find the right paint code.
Has anyone got a list or know where i can find them...?

black B02 IACB BLACK DUPONT AB47600 A100B6256V.
check the vin slam panel sticker for your code.. as in BO2...
chips away are rather good at matching paint.... (but only for small areas , imho the paint is to thin for larger areas like a wing mirror , as i think a good t cut would bring it off, or should i say i know )
are they using old style cellulose paint or new style water based paint???

Jim Clark S2 - 1/12. The one with the Yellow spoke wheels . No 613 on dash (pushed in to factory in wrong order 615 on tub)

It is in your chassis code Number,----- B02----- or option code IACB near bonnet catch a Du Pont AB 47600 paint reference No.

Thanks one and all.
I got the DuPont code for B02 as M1698 from my new pal in the Lotus paint shop.
They even offered to do me a special black (not starsomethingorother) for the new Europa I have been eyeing up...
As for the chips, because they went back to the fibre, i needed and proper job done. And once its polished (its raining now) I am sure it will look great. I hope.
Cellulose or Water based I dont know - why is there an issue??
I have taken some photo's at various stages if anyone is interested...

For small chips I got some pacific blue from sj lotus - its prob not what you need (I don't mean the blue) but they have a good range of colours and like I said it is a good match

paint as we know it , is being fazed out .. down to the chemicals in it... to be replace with water based paint...
when the water based paint goe s on it is a few tints different in colour , until it drys.. then it shoud match... bit of a waiting game though to see if the colour is a match , and looking at all the duff cars around with odd doors and other panels is see much more of this to come....
not sure if their is going to be a heritage paint coming out , but if you can get a pot of the old stuff then it would be advisable....
especially if you are going to keep the car forever.
