Has anyone had problems getting orders from this place? Two months ago I had him ship me a new hood and seals. The tracking info provided was from a company I had never heard of and the tracking number did not work. He said he could track it but my repeated requests for copies of his tracking info were never answered. After 6 weeks I told him that he needs to find the shipment or replace it. He admitted the shipment was lost and would send out a new order. On June 28 he told me it was on its way and UPS would be sending me the tracking info. My repeated attempts requesting him to give the the tracking number are going unanswered. As of today I do not have a way to track a replacement shipment or proof it was shipped.
I paid a pretty large sum of money and I am getting concerned about the outcome of this transaction.

M100 hoods is a second business for Mark. I remember him telling me that his main business is seasonal & when it is busy (which I think is now), then M100 hoods takes a back seat.

Cannot comment on M100 Hoods but had a bad experience with UPS recently
Items not delivered (they said they could not find us) when finally delivered the box had been opened and parts had been removed and the driver would not accept any responsability, said we had to take it up with the supplier.
Our supplier said they always have trouble with UPS so that may be where the problem lies

UPS are probably the worst carrier I know. I've started asking sellers who they use because if its UPS then goods, if they arrive, are invariably broken. Week before last they delivered a hi fi item and managed, through mishandling, to push the 3 pin plug through the speaker cone. They deny all liability of course. If Mark put "Fragile" on the box then that will explain it as they view it as an instruction to kick the living daylights out of it.
Rant over.

I have had great results with DHL. Everything shipped from SJ arrives on time and without problems. That is saying something when things are shipped to the USA.
No matter what is shipped a tracking number is our current way of knowing where our package is. You can get a tracking number for a standard letter not to mention any box that gets shipped. It is not difficult to obtain and a very easy piece of information to pass on. Not giving it invites speculation.

DHL is superb. UPS are thieves.

I use FEDEX extensively world wide and DHL domestically. both excellent. TNT are atrocious, everything is always damaged or arrives with no paperwork. UPS are a mixed bag imho.

Hmmmmm, that's not good customer service, second business or not. I don't know the company but based on the feedback thus far I doubt if I will get to know them.............
I sincerely hope this is resolved soon.
Best Wishes.

Totally agree John. I have several business interests and give each one equal priority. If I took my finger off the pulse and let one business slip due to seasons I would very soon have one less business interest

I ordered a new hood and seals in April. It is now July and still no hood or seals. I paid the money upfront in April. I think I have given this company enough time and communication to resolve the issue. I filled a dispute with paypal based on not receiving what I had ordered. That got a email response. It turns out when you file a claim with paypal they deduct the money and hold it until the dispute is resolved. I never knew this. It was not a pleasant email and still no shipping information. I made it clear that the dispute would be settled if he just proved he sent the package and tracking info on where it is. Still no response. All is quiet. I wanted to be wrong and the package was really in transit. It was a simple request to give me information on where my order was. $2000 is allot of money to put out and not get anything in return.

I sincerely hope you get your hood or the money back quickly. Its never ceases to amaze me how people who run a business can ignore customers to this extent. Eventually they go out of business and all because they can't manage some simple communication with the customer. Barring being in a coma its difficult to see what circumstances could have arisen that stopped him sending you the information you wanted and which he should have sent automatically.
Hope it all works out in the end.

M100 hoids contacted me on the 10th and 17th of this month and a couple of times in June as some brake pads they have advertised went missing. Two sets have been sent but never turned up, the third set was to be sent by UPS, still haven't arrived.

Well there is some news. I have a tracking number. Checking the tracking number it states that a label has been created but it has not arrived at the UPS facility. Still no explanation for the past 2 1/2 months with assurances that it had shipped. I know some are following this to see what happens.
Some history on the order. All is saved in email. If it is not in writing it does not exist.
May 5th email confirms he received payment.
May 25th I was given a UK Mail tracking number that still reads today:
"06th May 2016 10:03 Booked/Awaiting Collection "
June 1st I am told the package is in USA Customs but the tracking info above still reads the same
June 15th he tells me the package is lost, he will file a claim and send a replacement.
June 28th he tells me the package is on its way by UPS but no tracking info.
July 22st he gives me a tracking number for a label but the package has not made the sorting facility

I am curious to see what is in the box. I wonder how long it will take to get to the USA?

I really hope there is a good outcome to this situation and that the box contains what you ordered. Getting exciting

or is it because I live such a boring existence at the moment.

Probably the latter Andy, unless you have a black hood fetish ?

No black hood fetish, just very bored as I'm studying for a very difficult pensions exam in October. But that does remind me of a classmate who posted a comment on Friends Reunited a few years ago. I went to St Brendans Catholic School in Bristol and we were taught by Irish Christian Brothers. His comment still cracks me up. "I used to be beaten with leather straps by men in long black cloaks for free....now I have to pay for it"
