This is a problem is usually unique to the S2 version of the Elan.

Lotus changed suppliers for the plastic insert and the replacement were thinner construction that the original. Most S2's I've seen have this problem at some stage as the plastic ages and goes brittle.

Don't knock it Will - that's very useful if the SE handle fits the S2.

yep, direct replacement! I fitted my old one from my N/A I broke for parts a few years ago to an S2 I had.

So who else has got one?
