Changing the "Elan of the month" brought me to this thread- rather late... again...

I apparently need to quit working to keep up with the threads in this community!

I know that it is late, and from reading back a little bit it seems that being on the wrong side of the pond may be a disadvantage- but if a shipment is making it to the US at any time, please IM me price and details- I could find myself too tempted by one of these- especially with the CF lining!

Nice work!

As quite a few of you will have seen/read I have my hard top on my Elan at the mo, and I just marvel at the rear vision now.
Whilst waiting at traffic lights I copped the rear view mirror and thought someone was peering in the car, and they wer'nt they were sat in their car and I could see them. :D

I think this would be the water 'cascading' off the back of the top that you can view thru the rear view as you hit the boost after a stop ;)

You ain't just whistlin' Dixie. That silver Elan with top is a looker, a 10. Makes me lean to acquiring a silver even more, and putting a light-grey top on it, a-la-Porsche. Would be most best to find an Elan of a difference color (from red), as owning two exactly alike makes it look as though you have no imagination at all; i.e., let's do it again tonight, same position we always do! [smiley=boring.gif]

Although, I am pragmatic enough that I would probably buy the best car available, regardless of color. If you have ever bought a car just for the engine, then you know what I mean! Sometimes it is what you can't see that counts. If you drive with the radio off just to listen to your car, you also understand.

BTW, the hardtop above seems to terminate at the base of the "top-cover", a difference from the other design. Is that correct?
