I am in need of a Front Topshell Assembly for my Elan. I understand from Dave Bean Engineering that this part was made obsolete in 2003 for USA models. Any ideas where I can get this part? I checked with SJ in the UK who offers there own version for UK and european models but there are differences for the US version due to the air bags. I did find a company, also in the UK, that offers fibreglass Lotus parts but I'm not sure if they offer parts for the M100, and, if so, the US version. They have a website (
http://www.fibreglassservices.co.uk/index.html) but unfortunately no email. Is anyone familiar with them? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes I used this guy before, he was heavily endorsed by Lotus some time ago, so has been about for quite a while. The person I spoke to was strait to the point, I had a difference of opinion on parts with him and proved myself to be right, but he is genuine and I have bought from him.
I shouldn't think anyone in the UK has a US clamshell to sell (hope I'm wrong) and the US$ to £ exchange is not in your favour. What is wrong with yours, are you sure it can't it be fixed?
Of course you could post in the parts wanted section for a used US part.
Cheers,
Phil

Phil,
For context, the deer population is pretty restless in Virginia this time of year and, unfortunately now there is one less of these gentle creatures courtesy of my Elan. After posting this, I received a message from Steve at SJ indicating that FS only provides parts for UK and european models. Steve advised me to take the Kia Elan route. I am not convinced that the existing Topshell cannot be repaired but the shop performing the repair has asked for this part, no doubt to make their job easier. I'll take your advice and post in the parts wanted section and see what a local fibreglass shop can do for me. Thanks for your help.
