Paint Protection Film

Is anyone aware of a paint protection film kit for the front (and sides?) of an Elan SE?

The film comes in huge rolls, you don't need to find a kit. Just a shop that has the rolls.

Think I'll go for the ebay 10cm x 30cm for £1.95. Might even get both from that.

Yes but they are genuine Lotus items and as such are reassuringly expensive.
Thought I'd mention it for those on the forum who can't be trusted with scissors.

I had it on my Elise and it was fine (though the supplying garage put it on.) Measure carefully, clean the paintwork thoroughly, and keep everything warm so the tape is flexible. Finally, smooth it down with a straight edge to ensure no air bubbles.

I found BRG on a Healey Sprite a dangerous colour in the Hertfordshire countryside several decades ago... people didn't seem to see us coming, so perhaps a bit of 'Hi Vis' would make it safer too.

wouldn't be easier and pretty to get those CAR WRAPPING stickers? I mean we could trace some quality ones and run a group buy.. it would be very effective and some glossy or metallic ones could do great job to our little exotics

I remember Monty had 2 black stripes going over the bonnet of his Collapso red. Looked like Dico hadn't seen it and driven over it with his Scania

I really don't think that stripes are that pretty for our cars.. besides stripes are Americans fashion using them in Ford GT, Mustung, Viper, Camaro etc.. which means you need a quite longer and huge-er car less curved and big bonnet to match the stripes... In my opinion

What do you mean by that??

He means the rear deck where the rear hood seal sits. The problem is that over time the rubber seal can remove the paint from the rear deck so when the hood is down it looks a little unsightly. I covered my rear deck, after it was resprayed, in clear 3m film so that it protected the paintwork.

Yes that is a big problem and the hood has push in my deck and it's like scratched and some paint is off.... this is very bad
