Hood Tension Adjustment

Hi all,

This has been discussed a few times on the forum, but I haven't found a very concrete answer with detailed instructions. I've tried what I think is every adjustment I can make to the frame. I took a video to help explain what's happening: https://youtu.be/HR0VWwB_GvY

Hi I watched the video.
Yes I adjusted mine by bending the cranked rod, and I remember it was counter intuitive, ie I though I should lengthen it to achieve the desired effect but I actually needed to increase the kink in it. (Or vice versa, can’t recall)

But to take the guesswork out, just remove the front mount of the cranked rod, put your roof into the position you want it to end up in and then see where the holes are in relation to each other, and lengthen or shorten the cranked rod as required.

Thanks, I actually took it for a drive yesterday, caught myself staring at the bracketry again, and came to the same conclusion you did. I think the rod has to be "shortened" which then would allow the rear two pieces to "lengthen" and snap back. Will try this weekend hopefully. Thank you!
