Boot lid and tonneau separating

I know someone has dealt with this before but despite my best search-engine-fu, I can't find the thread. Smaug's boot lid and tonneau are separating; the inner and outer fiberglass halves are delaminating where glued with black, tarry stuff. Can someone please suggest a fix and/or point me to a thread? Many thanks in advance!

i dont understand the description.
a torneau as far as im aware is a cover over the passenger seat.

the boot lid would not be attached to that, id assume if you have a torneau it be attached to the hood stowage compartment cover, but installing one would require some interesting work along the door.

i think it best to share some pictures to make it clear what your issue is and then I/we can try to make suggestions.

It is another example of "2 countries separated by a common language"....

Doug is referring to the boot lid and the hood stowage cover.... made more complicated by using the English "boot" instead of the American "trunk"!

Either way, we have the start of a good joke here somewhere.....
