Rear View Mirror

Postby westonben » Tue 09.08.2005, 12:43

Everytime I drop the passengers visor (everytime the hood goes/up down etc) it knocks the mirror. It never used to do this and I can't for the life of me figure out the issue.

Anyone seen this before?

Ben,

I'd say you've got 3 possible scenarios:

#1 The Sun visor has slid towards the centre of the car, and is just loose on its mount. :)

#2 The rear-view mirror has slid towards the passenger, due to dodgy glue and hot weather. :?

#3 The car has become narrower! Have you been washing it too often? They shrink you know... :bonk:

Hey have you got a picture of the problem?

just grab and pull the visor real hard -- it'll pop off and you don't need it anyway

Someone please remove this thread - oh the Shame!!!

I now see that the mirror is supposed to pivot near the window too! A fair bit of force and it moves. My sister borrowed the car and got a neighbour to stop the power to the lights in the mirror (headlight button pulled out) and he must have moved the mirror then.

Like I say though, it is a bit stiff, but then no one likes a floppy one do they??

Remove it...not a chance.

Read it and weep Ben!
