Custom mud flaps

Hi guys,
I decided to hand make the front mud flaps as the stock and the Fiesta’s ones look too much big.
I designed the shape on a carton sheet using the dirty stripes on my bodywork (in order to see where the wheel is able to spatter).
I made the flaps cutting a plastic black sheet, using the carton shape as a template.
After all, they have bee fitted on the wheel arch with a bodywork’s double tape.

Federico,

Those look very discrete compared to the standard ones, but as Michael says, do they do the job? I haven't got any mudflaps and I'm getting a few stone chips, so I'd like to do something about it. Could you make a pattern available by any chance?

I had a Opel Calibra with the same unprotected A post panel.
I had stone chips problems that, honestly, I haven’t at this moment with the Elan.
Anyway, I used the dirty stripes on the bodywork in order to cover only the parts that had to be covered.
If they work, I’m not able to say as I have to wash my car and wait for a rainy day… but I’m pretty confident!!!!

After a little wet journey, I can affirm that they work well.
look at the picture, the wheel could't spray on the side bodywork and the dirty is dued of the other cars' spatters in front of me.
check the difference with the other photo!!

It depends on the LEC Members!
I can scan the pattern and let it available or make directly the flaps, but only if they are not less than 10 kits, sent to someone of you in a package in UK in order to save shipping money.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it


...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

Hi, they are fitted with double tape, and the cost (I have to go to buy the plastic sheet) would be not more than 7 pounds for pair.
I'm managing for the design of the rear flaps too!

Worth a go at that price, even if I decide I don't like them. I would prefer to fix them with something a bit more substantial than double-sided though. Any ideas?
