new hood fitted

If anyone is interested I have just had a new hood fitted 3 days ago by a guy named Joe Galione who owns ELITE WINDSCREENS AND SOFT TOPS
and is based in Stoke on trent he charged me 650.00 for supply and fit which I didnt think was too bad, after shopping around for some time.
Included in the fit were new elastic straps to raise and lower the frame loops on operation. He had the car for longer than he anticipated because I think it was a bit of a pain in the arse to fit, but he has made an excellent job of it and I would fully recomend him to anyone who is thinking of a new hood. The job carries a 12 month guarantee So if any of you are interested I can PM you with his phone number etc, i dont think distance is a problem because he travels a lot to fit hoods for insurance companies who he does work for.

In answer to your question, NO the seals were not included it would have been more expensive than it was if they were.the seals on the car are OK anyway,I am not on commision or anything so give the guy a ring I will pm you with his phone number

How did they replace the hood without damaging the main front seal?

The front seal came off without much trouble, whether it hadnt been stuck properly on the last hood replacement is questionable, but i suppose it was a good thing in a way because I didnt have to source a new one.
I have only recently noticed that it doesnt just go across the front but the same seal goes down the car over the windows for about 6 inches.
So it was a good job it was reusable
Anyway it all appears to fit OK AND THERE ARE NO LEAKS .
