Lotus Elan Central

I have noticed looking at some m100s for sale, that one or two of them have FRONT MUDFLAPS fitted and they dont look out of place.
After I have given my motor a good waxing and managed to get it looking something like, I take it out in the rain or just after a storm and the sides of the car look as though I have been competing in some R A C rally somewhere, So I have to take it home and start all over again.
Having front flaps fitted must help to reduce this happening, I can easily obtain some material to make them but has anyone fitted any and are they easy to fit without too much hassle

I bought a set of fiesta flaps as adviced, with discount they cost £17.00
I havent fitted them yet but just placing them on the wheel arches and they look as though they will fit perfectly, stopping all the splashing up the sills and doors at the same time enhancing the look of the car

I always thought the Lotus mud flaps were the best looking after market product, but they do perish and crack and the mounts corrode like hell..

I guess I'm a saddo.. cos I've got the Numbers too..

and the packets and fitting instructions.

They pop up on FleaBay time to time, about £25 a pair, brand new.

I fitted the FIESTA moulded front mudflaps this weekend and after a small modification ( I had to cut the small tabs off that are supposed to fold around the wheel arch panels) but after doing that they have fitted perfectly and look smart. They appear to be secure enough, I will keep you all posted as to the longevity of the product.

They do look pretty spiffy.
3 things,
--Some edge strip might fill the gap to the body panels nicely.
Just going by the picky here.
-- Which model fiesta are they off?
-- Has ground clearance been checked against wheel travel.
I.E will they touch the deck with the wheel in Jounce and pull off?
They do look good though and I do know that mud flaps are quite effective against stone chip damage in the sill and lower rear wheelarch area.
