Wiper Blades

Postby algirdas » Tue 05.06.2007, 05:02

Dear All Fed Owners:

Since 23 inch wipers are simply non-existent on the North American continent, I decided to experiment. I put a 24 inch wiper on the driver's side (left side) and a 22 inch blade on the passenger side (right side). I used those new Bosch blades that have the integral air foil shape to them.

So far so good. No lift under any circumstances including highway speeds coupled with high wind gusts (front and cross). Coverage is really good and just the lowest right hand corner of the screeen does not get cleaned very well.

Sincerely,

Algirdas

I was more a fan of:

1) remove the wipers all together and the car looks much better that way

2) put Rain-X on the windscreen and given the rake of the glass, the water just flys off at any speed!

Dear Monty:

I was going to do that as well, but the wiper "blades" themselves had seen better days.

Does this explain Ekapol's "Why can't I see when it rains?" post. :-D

I made Doug put the blades back for me.

Also I'm a big fan of Rain-X just that I don't have time applying those stuff twice a month.
