Hi All... Pick your brains if I may ....
Would a salvaged "as new" S2 hood (still fitted to its S2 frame) fit directly onto an older SE Elan ????
For example, could the old SE frame (with hood still attached) be unbolted and removed ....and then could the S2 frame (with S2 hood attached) be bolted directly on as a replacement.... Did they change the design ...Will it fit

Yes it will fit. SE hoods are no longer available, so anyone that has bought a new hood in the last several years would have got an S2 one. There are lots of SEs with S2 hoods about

I did it, no problem at all.
The seals are different and a little extra fabric on the sides and that's it. Might want to swap the inside plastic handle and both locking clasps as the SE used strong plastic than the S2.
