Does anyone have an unrequired passenger side (RHD) door mirror unit they could donate?
Reason being, I have just checked the internal fixings, as the glass was a bit loose, and have noticed that one of the small pastic 'screw-out' position adjusters is missing. I'm sure you are thinking "A WHAT is missing?" Let me try and explain. Behind the glass, you have three points that connect to the adjustment mount. The central metal pivot point and two plastic adjustment screws - One side, one bottom. Well for some reason, the bottom one of those is missing.
Probably a 10p component but, as we all know, Lotus only sell the whole mirror unit in its entirety.
Anyone able to help?

Thanks John. Still seems a bit OTT for such a minor component of the mirror.
As it happens, a couple of mechanic friends of mine believe that the door mirror internals are the same as those used on a VW (Pos. Polo). Will check into this further by way of a breakers yard and let you all know the result.

I have a similar problem with my NS door mirror, except that the mounting points on the back of the mirror itself have also broken up.
Is the mirror itself common with another make & model?

rip - I think that the mirrors are on offer at the moment part A100U0206F
for £8. They come with the mirror already stuck to the black back bit.

Not sure is there is a difference between left and right hand side ones though?

Do do you have any news concerning the VW's clip?
I have the exact same problem and was wondering how to solve it...

Anyone had any luck finding out about the 3 black plastic pivots behind the glass that adjust the mirror?
Apparently they are no longer available from Lotus, you can buy the glass and the mirror housing with the motor but you can't get the pivots (sold separately).

There were some complete door mirror assemblies (C100U0320F black plastic N/A? ones) at the Aftersales in Avonmouth last year - I can't see them on the current list though.
