Washer Bottle Pump Replacement

Postby Exbury » Tue 18.10.2011, 18:56

I have tried to search this one out and go the parts replacement but maybe I am missing something; the washer pump is lethargic and cannot push the water onto the screen, I have tried it with and without the little disc in-line regulator/one way valve - therefore is there a direct replacement? I am not really bothered about level detection. Any ideas?

Looking at the water bottle, just above the existing pump there is a space where a cylindrical pump could fit. I have a front washer jet from a Vauxhall Omega that looks like it would fit in there perfect, all I would need to do would be to drill the correct hole, swap over the sealing rubber and make some connections.

However saying that I think the lid leaks so maybe it better to find a complete replacement and build a cage to hold it in place.
