Does anytone know if the vauxhall corsa B switch is a direct replacement for the lotus window switch? As there are a lot for sale on E-bay and I'm desperate for a switch? Stef has kindly found one switch for me but still in need of another. the corsa one looks the same

I believe the connecting wire and plug are different.

I know the senator is a direct replacement. It is the rear window switches, not the switches in the front console.

Check out Wikilec under Switchcraft. It gives the original VX part numbers, colours and pics of different coloured window switches.
Apart from striking lucky at your local scrap yard, try
http://www.vauxhall-car-parts.co.uk, derek at GM6 spares in Penzance 01736 810 500, Ace Parts
http://www.aceparts.com/ or Vauxhall Green Parts
http://www.vauxhallgreenparts.co.uk/ . All of them have old VX parts.
Good luck

Thanks Guys,
Tomorrow I'll call Derek at GM6 see what he's got if not I'll check out the local scrap yards see how it goes.
All this because failed MOT on handbrake, the garage tried to get to the adjusters and broke both switches
At least they admitted it and will pay for replacements IF I can find another.

Smudge. If the garage is paying for them I'm sure douglas vally breakers will have them (steve strange on ebay). I'd hate to see how much they are asking for them.

thanks for all your help guys,
On wayne's advise I called douglas vally breakers and they happed to have "just two left" at £55 + VAT + delivery
Passed the info on to my garage and they bought them

so alls well that ends well but good advise from every one.
I'm still going to try every vauxhall in all local scrapies to see if there are any spares around and if there is I'll hord them for anyone else who might be in need.
