window winds down not up?

Rewound the drivers door winder mechanism last week nice and tight all worked well outside car put back together still worked fine for a few days now it won't wind back up! Took the mechanism out again checked it works outside of the car it winds both ways fine. checked the window glass moves freely in the outside sliders and their fine. Put motor mechanism back in the car and it winds down OK but not up, the funny thing is I can here the motor working but no movement in the cable? any ideas?

Found out the problem, took out the spool of wire and where the spool cog and the motor cog meet there was a very broken up rubber which stopped the cogs meeting properly so had no option but to remove the bits (not sure how important they were ) but I put it back together, tested it and perfect. All back in the car now and works perfectly. I don't want to do it again
