Door seals?

Are the door seals still available? As the top part on the rear of the door on my car have disintegrated.

If you mean the seal that goes around the door and ends with "knobs at both ends", NO. There is a difference between the SE and S2 but both versions are currently obsolete.

I am looking at door top outer weather strips and the seals that go around the door. I now know they are both obsolete, are there any alternatives? What sort of compound are people using to create the ends of the alternative seal profiles they have found etc.

PNM make replacement door top outer seals and that is the only option. The seals around the door are not being recreated at all. Some people have tried using a lot of Silkaflex and cling to create their own ends. I don't know how that really looks if the ends are really damaged.

There is a WIKI write-up about using a similar shaped seal for the top outers but the inside spine is too short so you end up having to glue extensions to meet the mounting holes. Recent people have not been very successful sourcing that profile either.

You might consider a visit to DVB and see if they will sell you the door seals off one of their S2 wrecks.
