Window stalls - Cracking Noises

Postby Simon_P » Sun 25.11.2018, 12:27

Hi All,
My passanger window goes up about half way then stalls accompanied by a cracking (plastic) noise. I helped it up but I suspect next time something will break.

I've heard of this before but can't find a relevant post. Anyone familiar with what is just about to break?

On my car it was the slider that had cracked and would kick the window out of alignment causing it to stick.

That is correct. You will need a butterfly as well as they can't be salvaged - They are a barbed, snap fit on the slider. See Wayne if you are not in a huge hurry.

Expect project creep via the
fuzzy wipers, A089V6166V;
Spacer Tubes, A100B1089K (See Dapinky's suggestions for Teflon rod instead);
Outer scrapers
and cleaning/lubing all moving parts.
