UP & Down? No

My windows didn't go up and down.
I've followed the wonderful Youtube video, cleaned out the old greasy gunk form the runners, replaced a few broken parts, put it all back together and I'm struggling with the 3 runners.
Can I get the glass to run smoothly up and down? Not a chance.
I'm manually helping the glass up and down in the hope that the slightly loosened runner bolts / nuts will find their sweet spot(s), tightening the top ones with the glass at the top, lowering the glass and tightening the lower bolts....and it still sticks. Mostly at the opening (back) end of the door. The rear glass runner seems to want to twist.
I can't afford another full swear jar.
Has anyone else experienced and overcome this?
Other than trial and error, are there any tips?
I actually had the driver's side window working pretty well, but when I was putting the glass back in the door, the old, outer glass drop seal split in 3 or 4 places.
It was very brittle.
So, I've had the glass out again, fitted a new outer glass drop seal and I'm back at the same problem point.
I stumbled across a combination of loosened / tightened runner bolts last time.
No luck this time

Well, I can offer sympathy, but no magic solution!

When I did mine it was trial and error - with more error than success, until it landed in a position where it just worked - I am not looking forward to doing the other car

I’ll keep at it.
I wish there was a simple manual wind up & down conversion
I’d happily ditch the electric windows.
Or an upgrade to something like an mx5 window winding system
Anything but these bloody awful runners / guides and reliance on brittle plastic

I recently did my driver side door. Proper fiddly and time consuming job, but following the youtube resto series videos i did end up with a better window action than previously.
No advice im afraid as it sounds like all you have done to now is correct.
Plan to service my passenger side next as the window is slow to rise. Not looking forward to it though.
