where to get clip to hold boot lock in

When i bought my lotus a month or so back the boot lock fell out. They guy selling it was going to adhere it onto the boot panel but i said i would rather have it and do it myslef. Basically i assume there is some kind of circlip that normally holds the lock from inside the panel. Any ideas where i can get one from?

Browfish, you are right, there is a plate which fits over the lock, inside of the fibreglass & then there is a clip to hold everything in place, i have just received one ( last week in fact ) from GST Performance, who sourced me one from Lotus, so they are still available & if i remember right, not very expensive, will have a look for part no. & let you know !

Browfish, doesn't appear to be a plate as i 1st suggested, but the clip no. is A100B0042F, hope this helps ?

I need to also get one of these. SJ Sportscars ahve got them for £1.33 +vat. Does anyone know of the part number for the rubber grommet/bung for the boot lock hole?

Thanks paul. I shall get one ordered. Fed up of carriyng the boot lock around in my pocket, having to insert it and the key to open the boot. Works well though.

You don't need to insert the lock barrel or key to get into the boot if the mechanism has been removed. Just emulate what the key/lock barrel does by inserting an index finger, flick up a piece of metal and the boot will open.
