my Lotus Elan S2 1995 windows do not wind up or down anymore , electric motor has seized I assume. Any ideas where I might get me hands on a spare please?

Peter, it may be the fuse(s) - A22 if the LEDs are not illuminated in the window switches, otherwise D1, B1 & B2 according to the Wiki or, if you can hear the motors, it may be snapped cables. Helpful information here and here.
