Creaky Window

I just finished replacing the sliders, butterfly and such on the drivers side (Federal car). I now get a creaky noise when putting the window up or down. Seems to happen in the middle of the travel. The winder? Does it have to come out again?

Don't worry I had the very same problem, as I remember it was the cable rubbing somewhere, as I looked with a torch with an assistant operating the switch it sorted it's self out, it did sound horrendous at the time but it was something simple.

Thanks. I did bite the bullet and pull the window and lift out of the door again. It was the cable mislaid on the drum. Much easier to relay the cable than I had thought. To think I have been avoiding opening the gearbox/drum for all these decades. When the previous one bound up I chickened out and bought a new replacement. That was long ago. Now to reassemble the window once again. Two more of the fuzzy guides fell out so I'll fix that also. Gorilla Tape here I come.
