Window Failed and Split Regulator open!

Hey all,

When my new Elan was being backed off the trailer last week, the courier lowered the lefthand window and it stopped halfway. I got to fiddle with it this past weekend. The motor works with the switch but the window doesn't respond. I figured it was just the butterfly clip, so I'm having some 3D printed.

Upon taking off the door panel (that was arduous) I discovered that the window had fallen right into the motor of the regulator, splitting the "tuna can" open as it were. It's an interesting failure. This coming weekend I will pull the regulator out to see if it can be repaired at all. Any other words of wisdom?
