Window slider boss different size

Ive taken the drivers side window out of my S2 as the window was getting stuck half way down. The sliders and channels were just getting jammed with old grease and the sliders were coming loose. Ive come to put the window and sliders back together and am following the lotus m100 restoration series YouTube video. The video states that the lower slider boss should be taller than the upper boss but the bosses I currently have fitted to my car are both the same size at the front of the window and they are both of the smaller size. Is this incorrect and should I be replacing the lower boss for a taller one?

The only other thing I noticed is that if I increase the height of that boss it’s going to be very tight initially getting that slider into the front slider channel near the wing mirror. Is this normal when refitting?
