Quick update guys, which I would appreciate your insight into.
A mechanic friend and I did a compression test on the Elan today and all appeared fine. No crud build up on the plugs and all cylinders came in at an equal pressure of approx 11.5 - 12 bar.
Does this mean that we are looking at the turbo as the likely culprit? If so, what part of it has likly gone pop? It is still working fine and give boost when required etc. Dump valve can be heard venting on throttle close.
Thanks
Matt
