ok i can be net stupid sometimes and as much as I noticed people talking about an uprated head gasket I can't find a reference as to where I can get one. Any suggestions?

As far as i know there isn`t one, unless the Izone boys have had them produced

IIRC Costas (aka the Shark) had a custom one made

wasnt it decided that the lotus one was an upgrade........compared to the isuzu version......I mean....
monty didnt you fit the isuzu one and didnt it give you problems....until you put the lotus one on that is.....

the Lotus one is not an upgrade. the head gasket for the car comes in an isuzu package here from lotus. I would love to know where he had a custom one made.

No, that was from micheals (kmckmc) gasket kit, not sure who actually manufatcured that gasket but is a different material.
As fas as i`m aware Lotus purchased there`s from Isuzu.

Think the Shark is an exception and there a few members with turbo upgrades now running a bigger turbo with no problems at the moment.

kmc was a std
lotus is a isuzu silver thing
shark's is a custom job.....

thats what I meant.....

I thought the kmc ones were the isuzu ones....and I thought the lotus ones were an upgraded version of what was originally use on the isuzu lump.....

Nope. Lotus and isuzu HG are exactly the same. Then there are the cheaper aftermarket altenatives that tend to fail.

ok so the kmc ones are after market cheapies.......
I thought they were isuzu.......the lotus gasket doesnt come in an isuzu wrapper so didn know it was their std gasket........

so it would appear in summary
just buy the lotus/isuzu gasket.........
dont buy the cheap one.......
you dont need a one off special unless you really want one for no rerason whatsoever
