Just done a couple of quick runs with the switcher installed and logged a couple of file captures for comparison, the second one should have actually been Elysium V4.5 but silly me selected the wrong number on the switcher
I've screwed in an O2 sensor and can therefor run closed loop 1499 PROMS, all seems to be working fine open or closed loop, my original PROM was a 9239 but I couldn't see any point not progressing to 9930 for open loop, so I have a full selection of 9930 open and 1499 closed PROMS on the switcher.
Base timing is spot on at 16 degrees BTDC, base idle a tad under 1000, and I'm happy to see that there's no knock detected. Might have a play with running a bit more advance......
If you overlay both logs and plot on the graph boost and air fuel ratio, it's quite clear the V5.3 chip has altered fueling, it's leaning out much more under boost, as intended. Not sure I want to run this lean on the road?
Couple of things I hope someone can enlighten me about, firstly, both logs show PROM error: On, and error count 100,000. The MIL stays off though so I'm not worried about it, but is this normal running a switcher unit? And second, on the switcher, on ID 0 there is PROM type 1499, with limited as the description, while I know what this is and does, I thought that ID 0 was only used for programming the switcher, I presume then that it will also run on prog 0?
