I would say the headlamps of the Esprit (at least the Julian Thomson variant) are a bit bigger but I have never measured the diameter so may be wrong.
There was a Cibie H4 unit that was available aftermarket and offered as a replacement by club lotus it had a Diamond pattern a bit like the Renault sign. There was also mention of the Esprit 5 3/4 lights being used which would have worked if they were H4 and fitted the mounting ring.

Phil, I'll stick with my original comment with my H7 error corrected .
Simon_P wrote:Early ones were both Cibie I think with H1 bulbs. Later were Lucas main beam. The advantage with the Cibies is that they are both plastic bowls whereas the Lucas were steel and went rusty. The Lucas lamps used an H4 bulb which has main and dipped beam.
ie if it is H1 it was Cibie originally and if it is H4 it was Lucas Originally. I think you are now agreeing with me.

Predictive text put MUSHROOMS in capitals so I went to edit it and predictive text put Mushroos DIN Brake pipe flares to you.

No all Cibie H1 dipped outer and Lucas H4 inner - In Europe anyway

My question was....

"Do I need to go to Specsavers or are those images seriously out of focus" ?

But then I answered my own question as I tapped on each image and they opened up in a larger format fully in focus.

See what I mean ? Try using 2 fingers to expand the image
