Central Locking Problem

Postby Graaf » Wed 20.05.2020, 19:12

I have just put the door cards back on and now have a problem with the central locking.

When I try to lock the doors the passenger button goes down but a few seconds later unlocks. It was fine when I tool the door cards off.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

There's a sensor at the door to recognise if the doorr is open when you lock the doors.
If the sensor tells the computer the door is open. Them the computer will unlock the doors automagically.

I suspect you may have disturbed the sensor or wiring.

This could also be due to the adjustment on the internal lock/unlock button.

When you tighten the screw under the orange clip there's a slot for height adjustment.

If it's adjusted too low and you attempt to lock the door it won't quite operate the switch in the lock to signal the Central Locking Module that it's locked.

That actually sounds more likely than what I suggested
