Looks like my electric mirror switch is starting to die. Drivers side randomly won’t adjust left/right.
SJ are saying they can no longer get the item.
Any suggestions on where to source a new one?

Not sure about getting one new, but the switch can be replaced with one from a Series 1 Vauxhall Frontera (or Omega) switch.......
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394028223918If you don't want the 'heating' function, then the Holden Comodore switch looks like it could be suitable, but I don't know if it is 'plug and play' or would need some wiring work......

Thanks Dave.
The Omega one still doesn’t have the button to trigger the heating. It must hang off the rear heated screen in the Omega?

Ah, good point about the screen heater!
I have to admit, my own switch stopped working many years ago, and is still on the list of things to look at when I get round to it - but as I don't use it in weather when a heater is required, and haven't needed to move the mirror position in the last 8 years, it isn't a priority.

have you tried unplugging it and giving it a generous dose of contact cleaner at the terminals and plug back in ?
ive had many switches over the years that between that and simply undoing their interanls and cleaning was enough to fix
ultimately all switches are just mechanical connections and are usually designed so you can re-open them to clean any dust and re-assemble

I had a problem with the mirror switch. The mirror only moved in one plane. It is possible to open the switch, but open carefully with the switch parallel to a clean surface as there are 3 small loose cones that the can fall out. I cleaned the insides with electrical contact spray, and everything now works as it should. As dapinky once the mirrors are in position you do not use the switch.

Down here in Oz, I bought a switch via eBay from a wrecker, described as coming from a Holden Astra TR. Looked perfect, had the heater switch and all.
Catch is that the plug gender is wrong - (male/female) so I haven't used it yet.
Wonder why GM did that?

Good advice. I will give this a go first before anything more drastic. Thanks!
