Before engaging in such a conversion project, would there be anyone having done it who could advise me on things to know or be aware of ? Thanks in advance. Franck

i had these fitted to mine after someone reversed into me and cracked one light..these were the only lights the dealer could get hold of and had to replace both sides because they have a slight black tint to them..i think they look better than the originals
there is no modification needed as they bolted straight on

Good to know it's no headache. I received them today so already know about coming week-end agenda.
Thanks for the feed-back. I'll try to make some photos during conversion process in case it would be of interest to some of us.

Not sure if I had seen a decent pic of the grooved lights before or not.
I like them. Improvement on the originals which I also liked.

Where did you get them? I tried various sources but couldn't find anyone who had them in stock. The story I got was that Renault had ceased to make them.

Sure Renault doesn't make them anymore no doubt. I was lucky that a local agent had one left in warehouse (!) and was motivated enough and managed to identify the complementary one within the Renault agents network... They were clear to me it was highly unexpected, no need to tell.

Conversion now done. No mess, no headache. Took approx 1.5 hour for both sides. Result is superb (original lights will now be stored in case...)

(Here are 3 photos. The last 2 ones to show differences: piece at bottom is the original one of course.)
Sorry Tigerdog, I was prepared to post the above but could't succeed to add the photos... Still need to learn how to do it.

Now with the photos. The first 2 photos for those who want to see how similar the original part and the new part are (For both photos, the light at bottom is the original one of course).

When I have some time on next sunny day, I will do and add a better photo of the car.

I'm never that keen on changinging the outward appearence of these cars too much because I always like them for what they are, but that is very nice.

I also like this change. Not as drastic as the(LGM) which I also like and would do.
However neither is currently available. I hope that I can keep my current set up intact.

Would someone know how to polish the original lights' (old Perspex) covers and what best product and brand should use ? (was not able to find tip in the forum). Thanks in advance.

I have had very good luck polishing clear plastic covers with fine metal polish (simichrome, flitz, etc.) then following with Meguiar's clear plastic polish then detailer spray. Not sure what the equivalent brands are in Europe. It's the metal polish that's the surprise, as you wouldn't immediately think of using it on clear plastic.
