Who's had their Piper system and PCE fitted?
What were the problems?
And how much were you charged?

Mine's off to Paul Matty to be fitted, so I'm expecting a rather large labour bill. Anyone know what I'm looking at?

We are trying to Find the Photo guide to how to fit the Piper RS that is hiding on the site? Can anyone point us in the right direction? We are getting it fitted Tuesday at Lakeside Engineering and would like to send them a copy of the instructions, the same way we did with Geoffs Wastegate port photo's and instructions. Thanks Geoff. I know how to send them once we have been PM them. But we are unsure how to get them from the site to our PM service. Thats if i could find them again anyway. Cheers M & A

That's great Specky saved again. Can you visit the thread above and send it to me in a PM? Am i right in saying that when you PM us it also goes to our Email? I don't know how to pick it up to send in an email. I do know how once its been PM. I have our Email address ticked on the control panel to show up on our profile. But it says max and andy. Any clue why? Cheers i would of never found it. It should be on the wiki should it not? Just asking. Andy

We have taken up so much space with off topic we better put some on. We have had a couple of days now to try the new PCE and Piper. We thought it was fast with the stock set up and the Everest. But never really got to try it at its full potential with the exhaust choking the engine and the boost problems, Well
not for long. Now it goes like a rocket. Its definitely freed up the engine. And when you give it a bit of welly the turbo whistles. You feel like your driving something special. The lads at Lakeside said it was the best custom exhaust that they had fitted. Fit wise. So that's a pat on the back for the Piper boys.
Also they showed us the inside of the pre cat .That surprisingly in one peace. When you tried to look through the honeycombe. It was cobwebby and clogged. They said it would of definitely restricted the flow. So that's a thumbs up for the PCE. That's a car with less then 35000 miles that's been serviced every year whether its done 5 or 2000 miles. So some of the high mileage cars. I reckon that the pre cats must be strangling most engines by now. So its got to be a
good argument to get rid or de clog. A&M

My 50K S2 felt sluggish as hell. As I've previously posted. The car is/was perfect! Serviced etc.
The original exhaust and pre-cat' made the car feel like I was towing a trailor. I can't explain how different the car feels and how much faster it is. Amazing difference!
And the tunnels through Birmingham City Centre are my new home. And the pops scare the children on the way home from school. Me likey!

i just orderd mine, its replacing a peco with pce, im abit worried about sound its 2.5" with a front silencer, can anyone offer any piece of mind or should i pic up an extra silencer ready to slip onto it?

I don't think the 2.25 Piper is that loud at all. Then again we haven't had it screaming like a banshee yet but its no where near some of the boy racers have got going on around here. I'm not sure how much louder 2.5" is but if you already have the front and back box, wouldn't you be just canceling out the extra benefit of the 2.5" fitting the third box? You might as well of stuck with 2.25 and just the back box? Trolley did Matty's show you the inside of your pre cat? Or did you keep it. Factory and all that. A&M

I have the pre cat' in a box in the house... Didn't bother looking at it though...

I can offer plenty of reassurance - I have a 2.5" with a front silencer and it is absolutely fine, it's a deep rumble and not a screamer at all. It's exactly the note that I think the Elan should have had originally. Also whent you look under the car the clean SST 2.5" diameter pipe is really big!

Enjoy it. Turbo replacement ( with new downpipe) planned for next week....
