Rubber grommet

Postby Justin1969 » Wed 27.06.2018, 22:00

Hello to everyone. When taking my elan off a trailer I found a rubber grommet on the floor of the trailer. It's round with a moulded handle type bar across it ( but flush ). It's around 11cm (4.25 inches)across.
I'm describing it as I don't seem to be able to download a pic of it.
Does anyone know what it is and where it came from so I can put it back.
Thanks in advance. Will try to download a pic.

Hi, there are (at least) two of them, they are used to fill the holes under each headlamps.

Image (maybe the green arrows are not 100% accurate as I am not in front of the car but hopefully you should get the idea)

Sounds like one of the 2 grommits from under the front spoiler...... well, the flat fibreglass pannel which is just behind the spoiler...... parallel with the ground.....under the bumper.....

I'm not describing it very well here

under the oil cooler and under the chargecooler......

Aargghhhhhh.......

..... just in front of the wheels.....

(under the bumper nuts, they fill the holes that are used to put the hand to access these nuts. Or something else. I am not 100% sure)

By the way they are a bit loose indeed, hence why they fell from your car I suppose. That being said mines were still present the last time I checked (but I had to buy one as it was not on the car when I bought it, I had only one)
