The lights behind the heater switches have been intermittant for a long time and finally given up the ghost. Is it possible to access them by removing the ash tray....?.... whilst i could get the ash tray itself out, i coulnt budge the moulding behind it.
any ideas??

It's a bugger to remove,
The ashtray housing it self is glued in with a very stiff rubbery glue, so the only way is to tease it out with screw drivers. (And it may cause damage)
You could take the radio out...
you could go in from the footwells (Left is better, as you don't get the pedals in your head)
I'll post a pic or two
