Just an update on the seats,ive used the Elan a fair bit of late and i must say the seats are far more comfy on a longer run than the originals,
so a worthwhile upgrade and not just for aesthetics .

Hey guys,sorry for the late reply,unfortunatly my pillar drill has blown its motor so for the time being i cant make the brackets,however i will post some pics of whats needed with sizes,they really are simple to do (if you have a reliable drill!).

Hey Dromong fella, any chance you can let us have the dimensions for the brackets please?
You don't have to worry about photographs, but you mentioned in your post that all four brackets are different so to save a lot of trial and error, if you could post the lengths and hole centres that would be great.
There seem to be a number of Forum members who want to go down this route as well so the benefit of your experinece would be VERY helpful.

Has anyone else any experience of fitting the S2000 seats please?
Due to the amount of travelling I do with my job, I just do not have time to experiment and manufacture the required brackets.
Clearly Dromong is not interested in sharing his knowledge and despite his promise to post dimensions etc., on the forum, nothing is forthcoming.

missus to do it I'm no engineer but they seem ok and passed
the mot last month.

That would be brilliant. I am away till Thursday evening so whenever you are able to post the dimensions, hole centres etc., would be perfect.
I am led to believe that each bracket has to be a different length? Your input would be very valuable.

I've been out and had a measure could only find a retractable ruler not my fixed steel one so the measurements may be a mm or so out

see pic below for dimensions, I used 6mm thick cold rolled steel and put a bar right across the front and 2 individual ones at the back as they go in at angles from the rear brackets. I also removed the rear seat spacers on the driver side as the seat sits a tad higher than my lotus ones did.( Remember to fit shorter bolts)

Those seats look very good. They update the interior quite nicely. Shame Honda don't do them in Magnolia!

Definatly on the look out for a set of these seats, I work for Honda, but that doesnt seem to be an advantage in my search!

They come in a few colours (though no yellow) but were never heated. There is an accessory kit to fit seakers in to the head rest which is nice, but a tad expensive at over £200. I can get them trade if any ones interested.

Phil, take a look on ebay, there are plenty on there. I've seen Blue, Red, Black and Red/Black. Typically go for £300 to £600. Gutted they didn't do Magnolia or Beige, have a word with the gaffers!

the blue is pretty gash, I remember we accidental ordered a light blue car, blue hood, blue seats and blue dash, it was grim!!!

I've got a pac blue SE as well, Thinking Black, but temped by the red/black combo, though that only came out on the later cars and seems to be at the top end of the price scale. keeping a close eye on Evil bay, waiting for the right set to emerge....

I agree with you about the Blue. It just wouldn't look right in a Blue car IMHO. Not sure about the Black/red combo either. I'd probably go for plain Black if I decided to take this route. Chances are that I'll just reupholster my original seats with more Magnolia leather and get the door cards, along with handbrake and gear lever gaiters, done at the same time.
