Looks great. not sure about the whole wheel being same colour though. the wheel part should be Black imo. but otherwise I love the seats and door panels carpet ect ect

What a Fantastic transformation, definitely agree with the previous comments and echo that it's not been overdone. Those seats look might comfy!

Just had my seats refurbished and retrimmed, by Transcal Leather in Scotland to a design I had drawn, full leather, colour 'Chamois', they also did my handbrake, gear lever, and a really neat job with double stitching on my door handle surrounds. They also did the door inserts and steering wheel (last two not photographed yet!). I opted to delete the piping in favour of double stitching, and now in the process of finding a local trimmer to come up with a close colour match to replace the carpets. Might not be to everyones taste, but I wanted a change from the all the grey, and something a bit more upmarket, plus my original trim was only half leather. Now waiting for the summer as I haven't been able to get the roof down (outdoors!!) on the car since I bought it!

I know this is a very old post, started nearly 7 years ago. But my Lotus has been hiding in the garage since 2010, and only covered 4000 miles since I bought it in 2008, but as of tomorrow its off to the garage to go through everything to re-commission the car and get it MOT'd, hopefully ready for some sunny Northern Irish weather!

Glad to hear it, get it back on the road and enjoy it - i hope it has been under a dust cover for that time!!? I have nearly rebuilt mine, so may have been through the same problems the garage may encounter, so if you need any info let me know.

I have had the garage look at it today and a list of stuff needed even though it has been in a dry, heater garage and covered up.

Needs a new radiator, fan switch, temp sensor, front and rear discs and pads, 4 tyres (as its got flat spots) and a couple of brake pipes at the rear.

I'm going to put a post in 'General' as my garage can't source a radiator, rear discs and pads, fan switch and sensor.

What a super job.I just love recommissioning cars especially cars like Elans.
Might be also worth checking that the cooling fans have not seized - not casting any doubts about your garage's diagnostics but that is an unusual shopping list for a car that's been laid up.
Brakes and Radiator for sure, but the sensors it's unlikely they have failed seems more like it's got an air lock in the cooling system.
Just a thought
