A pillar covering removal

I've got to remove the A pillar covering from inside the cockpit. Has anyone ever done this it looks quite fragile and I could possibly damage it. Has anyone got any helpful tips?

Reasonably straightforward when I did it. First, peel back the “leather”at the top of the A pillar and locate the two screws securing it to the windscreen frame. You may find e top of the A pillar is cracked or split; I repaired mine with a bit of fibreglass matting and resin. Don’t get it too thick, though, or it won’t fit properly when you put it back.

Once you've undone the screws, the pillar should release. Pull it away from the top first, then lift up and out until the base (which fits behind the dashboard) is free.

I took out the RHS, but I imagine the LHS is the same. If you do run cables, secure them to each other with a bit of tape, or they can ruck up when you try to put the cover back.
