I'm currently working with these folks to have some aluminum pedal covers made to precisely fit the Elan. I am also hoping to provide a template for them to make a driver's side footrest (LHD only at this point) to match. Don't know if anyone's interested or not but feel free to have a look at their website.

I'm not asking for a group buy at this time. I'd just like them to create the pedal covers for now. They've got the dimensions - I just need to provide them with the curvature. They have already agreed to make them. If anyone actually is interested feel free to list your name. I suspect it will take 20 or so of us befroe we'd get any consideration for a price break. You can see some typical pricing on their website for similar products.

would we all need to select the same finish for them to be produced?

What finish are you prefering. I like the Shiny (Brushed) Anti-slip without Grip Inserts.

Hi Paul, they'll make the templates to the precise, Elan size. You can order them in any finish, with or without the rubber knobby things. :wink:

I would probably order the satin antislip with rubber grips for the clutch, brake and footrest and the satin, antislip for the gas pedal.

I don't think we'll need to worry about getting it off the ground. Its already on the runway :-D

They will make the pedal covers for sure as soon as I get them a few, final measurements. They seemed to be very open to making them and had no restrictions on quantities - yet. I did suggest that I'd post the information on our owners club website for interested parties to see so that may have got them interested.

Oh........they'll add custom engraving to each pedal (some examples are on their website) for $10 each. They already have the Lotus logo on file. I suppose we could get them a LEC logo or other logo if people so desired.

Mine need new pads anyway,so a nice set of custom made would be very nice.
The Lotus logo would look great also!

Those look pretty cool. They would be specially cool with the LEC or Lotus logo. One question, though. Does anybody else have a problem with the lack of space around the pedals? I had to remove the rubber pads and put self-adhesive non-slip pads on because the extra width of the rubber pads (specially the brake) caused my foot to get caught on the brake pedal whenever I tried to move it from the accelerator to the brake. It was a dangerous situation. The only way I get enough room to move from one pedal to the other is without the pads on. I'm afraid if I installed pedals like these, I'd be back to my original problem.

Tweet, you probably would as they will be sized to match the current pedals WITH the rubber cover on. However, there may be an alternative solution for your problem if this all comes together so stay tuned.

I've been running behind on this a bit - entirely my fault due to other things popping up.....you know, life and all. They are waiting on a few pieces of info from me and hopefully they will then be able to start designing the pedal covers. Sorry all for the delays :oops:
