I have had my very tired seats (that had been painted by one of the previous owner)re trimmed. I have also gone a bit off original design, I would be interested in comments by the LEC people. I think they will look great on my Pacific Blue car and could not be worse than the horrid things.Door inserts to match.
I would like to think that Julian Thomson and Peter Stevens would approve.
I will talk the trimmer and find out if the embroidery is a repeatable set up now I have paid for the art work.PM me if interested. Picture is of the halfway stage obviously.

I never liked the bright red stripe on mine but your blue is very subtle.
I like it but why should I matter? If you like it then that is most important.

Should look good, especially in a Pac Blue - hope to see pics of the finished result (in the car).
May also be worth including the name and location of the trimmer if you're prepared to recommend them.
Oh, and your own location is missing from your profile!

Edit: Ah, I see you've put it in your signature instead - unless just the pre-cat is in Essex and the rest of the car is somewhere else!!!

Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...!

They are very nice.
How bad are your originals? Will you be keeping them for spares?
I'm looking for a tatty old seat cover to under take some research with!

Very nice.
I've never much like the John Benk detailed red stripes either and at least they aren't purple....

I am keen to keep the headrest portion with the Lotus embossed.
I will let you know.

Seats, door inserts done.
I am happy with them.
The old covers are not available scrapped I guess as I did not ask for them.

The red and grey on a white is bang in period( shades of Ford XR's) and looks really good.

I don't recall who John Benk is? I thought Julian Thomson did the interior design.
I liked the idea of a stripe, but wanted a them bit more subtle and keyed to body colour.

Sorry to mislead you Pete. John Benk was a member on here who had a very unique take on interior design....

Dave, it really a bit pie in the sky but last time I was here things were very cheap, because of EU accession and joining the Euro the Republic of Cyprus is not now so competitive however, over the divide the economy may make a considerable difference to such costs. I certainly intend to get some suits made up before I return, I can see no reason why Upholstery costs should be any worse!

So, where would you go in Cyprus to buy a decent DJ?

Thanks for that Geoff, I'd wondered what a bit of 'playing' might look like, now I know, don't think I'll be going down that route.
Interesting thing here though is that the chrome rings on the FB3 are actually fitted to the fascia and not the actual clocks!

The DJ is not the problem, there are 3 tailors on the Base, its getting the correct tracklements etc that is the problem!

Benk's problem was that he didn't understand subtle. He should have been into Lambos. Accents can be tasteful.
