Gearlever surround - anyone bought one?

Anyone any thoughts on where to get the gear lever surround - you know the chrome one... is it vauxhall?

I'ne noticed in pics that no one has put in a gear lever surround?? has anyone ever tried to find one that fits - It would really set off the cars - I've been searching around and looking in the LMF site - they have richmonds but we'd need to be sure of the size...

I guess it's a matter of taste but seeing as there is no other chrome in the interior I think it would look really out of place.
Striking fear into the hearts of duplicate posts everywhere...! :P

I've got a chrome lotus gearstick and I'm getting the surrounds for the BPV so I'm kinda hoping it will look ok... :?

How would I contact marie?

Yep its custom to go with all of the other billit aluminum enhancements I've done to the interior. So far, I've done the gear knob, e-brake, center tray, aux gauge surround, and pedals. Soon though I will have a set of Esprit main gauges from the '04 in the car along with their billit surround as well (tach, speedo, ect)

Don't suppose that you've got two custom made gear surrounds...he smiles...

Might try to get the dimensions and source something from LMF....

Looks good - although I haven't seen your hoops...

You might want to check the thread for Roll Bars. Under "For Sale" --> "Elan Parts". First bar for 2006 looks pretty nice in the picture :-D

If you look under the gear lever gaiter (leather) there is an allen key that you have to take off...you just can't unscrew these :D

he means -- remove the tiny grub screw with allen wrench key, and then you will be able to pull the knob top straight off.

The grub screw is on the metal colar at the bottom of the gear knob, the gear nob is also threaded and has to be unscrewed anti clockwise to remove.
