Wrong vintage I suspect - apparently there's a GM part # ref on Golden Gate 'GM 32 PA 90246188 ??? Probably a late '80's model???

As i own a Vectra of the same vintage as these handles (albeit with standard black ones, not blingy chrome), I suppose it will befall me to see how they dismantle/fit the elan doors
I'll try and have a look next week when back from IOM.

I stumbled onto Rustoleum's Stainless Steel finish today while shopping for other things at Lowe's. I decided to buy a can of it and give it a try. I had an old, messed up escutcheon in the garage, so I used it as a test. Mind you, I didn't have a really good brush to use, and I didn't feel like using my sprayer for this test (so I don't have to do the clean up, and to see if I might want to use this stuff on my door pulls/release handles -- without having to take the doors apart).
Anyway, here's the result. Remember, with a really good brush, or a sprayer, there wouldn't be any brush strokes.
This stuff costs about $20, and it actually does give a surprisingly good finish.

Things seem to be shaping-up nicely, if I can commit to 20 sets then the costs should get down towards $150
