Just thinking, are'nt the heater dials/direction control's and cig lighter white on the kia Elan? I guess they would fit o.k. and might look alright with the white dial's

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you need white letters on Black then just get a set of Calibra Turbo dials ? There must be some about from those who have fitted Lockwood's.

Lockwood rang me today, & said dials had been printed off & would be sent out tomorow ( apparantly they had problems with printing machine end of last week ), & he reckoned i should receive them Wednesday, so keep fingers crossed chaps ?

Dials arrived today ( see pics ), will get jiffee bags sorted over weekend, sort out p+p costs, let you all know final cost, & away we go.
By the way, cost from Lockwood was £25 + vat = £29.38 for full set, & £14 + vat = £16.45 for fbt. Still require the following to PM me there address please :-

no 160mph.....
think its more acurate too....if you hacve the s2 wheels...
Sy did explain....he may do so again but it was something along these lines

Well i`ve got my Lockwood dials fitted, what a pain in the ass! Lets start with the main instrument cluster.

You have to remove the original Dials.

Have a read of the Lockwood fitting instructions and then decide how u want to do it. This is how i did mine.

To help with removel of the cluster, i removed steering wheel and the shroud around the steering column. Once out u only need to remove the front part of the cluster ie the black plastic part with the see through plastic.

Speedo,
Do not remove needle!
Pull out the plastic peg which the needle rests, start to pull of old dial and the two plastic covers for the mileage should pop off. Then u will need to cut to slits near the needle to remove it.
Fit the banjo around the needle.
Fit new Dial as per instruction, but mine wouldn`t line up, so used a drill bit and altered the holes by hand. The peg and the plastic covers for the mileage help hold it in place.

Do the same for the Rev counter but make sure the needle doesn`t come off, mine did and when i fitted the cluster the rev counter was wayout and had to remove it again to adjust :twisted:

On the fuel/temp u can remove the needles as they can only be fitted in one direction.

ok, i`ve just signed up to Photo bucket.

The FBT

Once u have removed the 3 gauges u need to open up the lip on the bezel to take the gauge apart

Then u need to put a mark with a pen on the outer edge in line with the needle so u know where the needle should sit when u re-assemble.

Next pull of the needle and remove the two screws to remove the old dial then it`s just acase of fitting the new one and then refit everything. Once u have the Bezel back on close the lip off using a flat screwdriver.
