Well! Couple of weeks in and they still look good!

I've re-contacted the bloke and asked him if he can do some long and thin lettering in black for along the side of the sill.

I'll post pictures up when they are done if anyone is interested

The old grey carpets on the door were badly stained and so I used them to practise on for painting them yellow!

Basically I have read that you can 'paint' carpet if you use the right stuff, I bought some pastel paints from a hobby shop and tried painting the door carpets, this was a test, as had it worked, I would have the done the floor carpets - but........

......It didnt!

So I ripped them off and replaced them.

The chequered foil paper wrapped around a hardboard insert is all I could think of - truth be told I dont like it that much myself! However I do like the seat logos - everyone to their own though!

I don't think carpet can be painted, unless you're never going to be stepping on it. You can get it dyed, though, any color you like. My carpet is in good shape, and I have grey carpet floor mats that are also in great shape. I plan to sew on a red basting around the edges, and have a local shop embroider "Elan" on them (in red).

Anyone interested, I found these headrest logos on the US ebay site. It says they ship worldwide. They're much smaller than Pete's.

Pete, It looks in your picture like "Lotus" was embossed on your seats already, below where you put the stickers. I thought that's what you were saying in the first post. Your question was about coloring the original embossed logos yellow, right? I would contact a leather shop about that. It probably is possible to get it dyed, or painted. They have special paints for painting on leather and vinyl I think.

long time since this post was on here, but just to add that i thought of the same thing and i ended up painting the lotus word in by hand, very tediously, in yellow model paint and it stays on and looks the biz. I have the same colour seats and cards as yourself. Cheap option but just as effective.

Looks like you've got the wrong units Federico! Your picture is approximately 14" x 3½" but the real size is 14cm x 3.5cm - you can easily re-size it (Image | Re-size in PSP).

Tip: You've got quite a lot of artefacts by saving as a .jpg with high compression. For graphics, it is best to use lossless compression like .tif or to decrease the compression factor (it's in the option menu when you're saving the jpeg in Paint Shop Pro).

hello Geoff, thanks for your help! I made the logo with PSP starting from a photo!! that's why I was asking for the dimensions of the square. It will be easy now to resize it.

Interesting. Something I hadn't thought about until now but it makes sense. PSP can handle vectors and save as Adobe Illustrator (.ai) vector files.

Just tried it out and it doesn't! It's own format (.psp) retains the vectors but .eps and .ai are converted to rasters.

or: (On a Windows machine), add an extra printer like an apple laserwriter or something similar (it should be a Post Script printer)
Then, print your design to the new (virtual!) printer, but select print to file instead... Select the .EPS (Encapsulated Postscript) box and then print. You'll end up getting a .EPS file with the vectorised version of your design that all vinyl cutters will accept (i have done this professionally for many years actually
